Do You Have Your Shoes?

It seems like a simple question, right? But I can’t tell you how many times we’ve headed to school or training, and someone has forgotten their shoes! Every time we pull out of the driveway, I ask the same questions: Do you have your water? Lunch? Shoes? Bag? And every time, everyone answers “Yes.”

But sure enough, someone forgets their shoes.

I don’t get mad—I have to laugh!

But it makes me stop and think: what’s going on in their little minds that causes them to forget something as essential as shoes? Are they overwhelmed? Stressed about an upcoming game or training session? And more importantly, how can I support them?
